Subject: RE: Friday Unnecessary?

Suran,

First, I would like to restate that as you want to call the University Ethic’s Officer as a witness it is your responsibility to contact him. It is clear that you have not because when I spoke with him he was clear that he has nothing to do with the grade being appealed and will not be at the hearing.

Second, I am copying the members of the committee so they may have a copy of your email below and the stance of the University Ethic’s Officer (above).

Third, unless I am otherwise directed by the Grade Appeals Committee, our meeting is set for Friday September 16th in ACT 601 beginning at 12:00. Each side will have up to one hour to present their case. This hour includes all spoken statement, written statements, or information provided in electronic formats. This hour also includes time for the committee to review written documents. If large documents are to be presented, it is advised that they be submitted to the committee electronically and in sufficient advance to review. Following the first presentation (faculty), the student and committee will have up to 20 minutes for questions (and answers from the faculty). The second presentation will be by the student, the faculty and committee will have up to 20 minutes for questions (and answers from the student).

As soon as a decision is made by the committee about whether or not a meeting is still warranted I will notify all parties.
